Code of Conduct

NSFA requires certain standards of behaviour from its athletes to ensure a safe, respectful and ethical environment. NSFA Athletes must:

1.

Act within the rules and the spirit of the sport.

2.

Be respectful, fair, considerate and honest in dealing with others. Always maintain high personal behaviour standards including punctuality and general courtesy. Avoid abusive or disrespectful language, comments or actions towards others, whether in person or online.

Be professional, in and accept responsibility for your actions

4.

Care for and respect any equipment provided to you as part of your activities

5.

Be honest in your attitude and preparation to training. Work equally hard for yourself and your team/squad or training partners

6.

Co-operate with NSFA in development of programmes to adequately prepare you for competition.

7.

Uphold your responsibilities and perform to the best of your abilities upon selection to represent the state or country.

8.

Operate and abide by the rules of the sport whether on a national and international level including Malaysian Fencing Federation (MFF), Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA), International Fencing Federation (FIE) and Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN). Refrain from any acts, omissions, conduct or other behaviour that brings, or reasonably likely to bring the sport of fencing, NSFA and its affiliations to ridicule or disrepute.

Understand the potential consequences if you breach this Code of Conduct as per Terms and Conditions of the NSFA Athlete Membership.
